McGarvey Efficiencies was founded in 1992 by Brunswick native Cormac McGarvey Jr., a developer, who recognized the need in Glynn County, Georgia for affordable, convenient housing for the short, mid, or long-term stay. In its fourteen years of existence, McGarvey Efficiencies has grown from one ten-unit building to over 150 units in five locations. It continues to grow with another 80 studio apartments currently under construction & due to open very soon. By the end of 2006, McGarvey Properties, Inc. plans to be operating over 267 residential and commercial rental units. A family business, the company is currently managed by co-owners Cormac, Genie, Murray and Kevin McGarvey.

Studio units are well-suited for one or two people. We want people to feel like they're home. Unlike hotel rooms, residents are allowed to decorate and coordinate their unit as they wish. The furniture is simple yet tasteful, allowing residents to coordinate to their décor of choice

Convenience is a word that describes moving into a McGarvey Efficiency. In most cases, prospective tenants can be approved on the spot and can be in a clean unit the same day. There is no waiting around to be approved for service and no hefty utility deposits to pay. At some apartment complexes, all this can add up to well over a thousand dollars, but at McGarvey Efficiencies, a weekly resident can move in for less than $400-which includes deposit and application fee. Once in, the resident finds that the power, water, and cable are already turned on and a simple call to the local phone service carrier usually gets the phone service connected in a few days. It's so simple and convenient, our studios ought to be called "CONVENIENCIES".
